I played and scored at the Pepsi Center on Sunday

My ice hockey team the Money Shots played after Sunday’s Avalance game vs. the Calgary Flames.  It was a great night.  The Avs beat the Flames.  Smyth and Heijduk both scored their 300th career goal.  Later that night, I scored my first goal on the very same ice.  I’ve played and scored on pro ice before, but never in Colorado.  Sunday night was as good as it could have been, and I’ll never forget it.

This is the goal I scored in the third period.  If you look closely, you’ll see the puck falling to the ice behind the goalie.  I wasn’t expecting this to go in.  My plan was to bounce the puck off the goalie with hopes of the rebound going in front of him in the slot.  I saw Jerry breaking in and figured he’d get the rebound, and I’d curl behind the net to the other post.  Instead, I ended up roofing the puck over the goalie’s shoulder.  Works for me!

GOAL!!!!!!
